Recent Form

Wolves have won three of their last six matches, drawing two and abandoning one. They beat Racing Santander 3-0 at home, then saw their trip to Heerenveen called off. A 2-0 victory at Doncaster followed before they drew 1-1 with Sunderland on home soil.

Away at Brentford they came from behind to salvage a 2-2 draw, showing resilience when needed. Most recently they claimed a 2-1 win over Liverpool at home - a result that suggests they can trouble the bigger sides when conditions suit.

The pattern is mixed. Three wins from five completed matches is respectable, but two draws indicate they've dropped points when they might have pressed for victory. The abandoned game at Heerenveen leaves a gap in the sequence, but the wins over Doncaster and Liverpool carry more weight than the scoreline against Santander, which came against lower-tier opposition.

Wolves are capable of beating established rivals - the Liverpool result proves that - yet they're also vulnerable to dropping points against sides they should dominate. Consistency remains the issue. They need to convert more of those situations where they've drawn into wins if they're to sustain a push up the table. The Brentford draw showed character, but character alone won't bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to be.
