Vietnam

Vietnam's attack has been ruthless in recent weeks. Four straight wins, including a 6-0 demolition of Siheung Citizen and a 4-0 rout of Myanmar, show a side capable of overwhelming opponents when the chances come.

The pattern is clear: Vietnam score freely against weaker defences. Against Myanmar they put four past a side that offered little resistance. Siheung Citizen collapsed entirely, conceding six. Those are the games where Vietnam's superior quality shows without compromise.

The tighter contests tell a different story. Victories over Gangwon FC and Yongin City both came 2-1, suggesting Vietnam can be vulnerable when tested. In both matches they won, but margins were thin. Against better-organised defences, they've had to work harder for their goals.

What emerges is a team that can be devastating on the break and in open play, but which hasn't yet faced a side that can match them for sustained pressure. The 4-0 and 6-0 wins are eye-catching. The 2-1 victories are more revealing about where they actually stand.

Four wins from four is the headline. The question for Vietnam now is whether this form holds when they meet opponents who don't fold under pressure. The wins are real, but the quality of the opposition has been mixed.
