Pisa's Inconsistent Run

Pisa have won once in their last six matches, a 3-1 victory over Cagliari the sole bright spot in a patchy sequence. Three defeats and two draws tell a story of a side struggling for consistency at both ends of the pitch.

The heaviest blows came away from home. Cremonese dismantled them 3-0, while Como inflicted another 3-0 defeat on their own ground. Those results suggest defensive frailty when under sustained pressure. Against Lecce, Pisa conceded twice in a 2-1 loss, again failing to keep a clean sheet when it mattered.

The draws with Hellas Verona and Genoa offer a glimmer of solidity. The goalless stalemate at Verona showed they can be hard to break down, and the 1-1 with Genoa proved they can recover from going behind. Yet draws do little to arrest a downward trend when wins are scarce.

The Cagliari win provided evidence of attacking threat - three goals at home suggests they can score when conditions suit. But that performance remains an outlier. Across this run, Pisa have conceded 12 goals in six matches. Until they tighten their defence and string together results, they will continue to drift rather than climb.
