The Salvador-based club enters their next fixture against Flamengo seeking to overturn a 2-0 deficit from their previous meeting. Flamengo's comfortable victory in that encounter leaves Bahia with work to do if they are to progress or recover ground in the competition.
Bahia's last outing ended in defeat. Flamengo dominated the away clash, winning 2-0 to establish a commanding position heading into the return fixture. The margin of that loss - two clear goals - represents a significant hurdle for Bahia to overcome on home soil. How they respond will determine whether they can salvage anything from this tie or whether Flamengo's superiority proves decisive across both legs.
