Atlético CP suffered defeat to Benfica B, losing 1-0 in their most recent outing. The single goal proved decisive in a match where the Lisbon side's second team proved the more clinical finisher.
One match provides limited scope for trend analysis, but the loss to Benfica B represents a setback. Atlético CP were unable to find the breakthrough against opposition from a higher tier of Portuguese football, and conceding the only goal of the game handed the initiative entirely to their visitors.
