Angers have won none of their last three matches, slipping to draws and defeats across a difficult run. Monaco beat them 2-0 away, then Rennes came from behind to win 2-1 at home. Most recently they drew 1-1 with Strasbourg, a result that at least halted the losing streak but leaves them without a win in three outings.

The fixture list offers little respite. Two matches against Paris Saint Germain loom - one away, one at home - sandwiching a trip to Le Mans and a home game against Strasbourg. The PSG fixtures will demand a sharp improvement in form if Angers are to take anything from either encounter.

Defensively, they have shipped five goals across their last three games. The 2-0 loss to Monaco and the 2-1 defeat to Rennes both exposed vulnerabilities at the back. The draw with Strasbourg suggests some stability is possible, but consistency remains elusive. Without a win to build momentum, Angers face an uphill task in the weeks ahead, particularly against a Paris side that will be among the division's strongest.
