The English midfielder has made 338 appearances across his career, scoring 6 goals and providing 15 assists. Cook has established himself as a regular fixture in midfield, building his reputation through consistency and availability.
His goal tally reflects his primary role as a ball-progressor rather than a scorer, with his contributions measured more through playmaking and presence in the middle of the pitch. The 15 assists accumulated over his career demonstrate his ability to create chances for teammates, though his impact is typically felt in build-up play and defensive work.
Cook's appearance count - well over 300 matches - underlines his durability and the trust placed in him by his managers. That volume of football at senior level marks him as a dependable operator who has earned regular selection.
His England nationality places him within the competitive landscape of the domestic game, where he has competed among a deep pool of midfield talent. The balance of his statistics - modest goal return, modest assist return, substantial appearances - suggests a midfielder valued for his work off the ball and his contribution to team structure rather than as a creator or scorer of headline moments.
