Josh Clarkson is a New Zealand batting allrounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast-medium. He has accumulated 4873 runs across his ODI career, establishing himself as a middle-order contributor for the national side.
His dual skillset makes him a valuable asset in one-day cricket, capable of both stabilising an innings and providing pace bowling options depending on match conditions and tactical requirements. The combination of batting depth and bowling ability has kept him in contention for selection across New Zealand's limited-overs formats.
Clarkson's career has been built on consistency rather than headline-grabbing individual performances, with his run tally reflecting sustained involvement in the ODI programme. His right-arm fast-medium bowling adds variety to New Zealand's attack, allowing the side flexibility in their bowling combinations.
His role as a batting allrounder means he operates in a competitive space within the New Zealand setup, where competition for middle-order places and allrounder slots remains intense. Whether through batting contributions or bowling spells, Clarkson has proven capable of making meaningful impacts in one-day internationals.
