Hossein Kanaani is an Iranian defender who has made two appearances this season, contributing one assist from the back. The 2023-24 campaign has seen limited pitch time for the centre-back or full-back, though his creative involvement from defence suggests he is comfortable stepping into build-up play.
Kanaani represents Iran at international level and operates in a defensive role where distribution and positioning are key demands. His assist tally, modest as it stands, indicates he has been involved in chance creation during his brief spell on the pitch this term.
With just two outings so far, Kanaani remains in the early stages of what may prove a significant season for his development. Whether injury, competition for places, or tactical selection has limited his appearances remains unclear, but the Iranian defender will be looking to increase his involvement and establish himself as a regular starter.
