Dayot Upamecano is a French defender who has made 9 appearances this season without scoring or providing assists. The centre-back operates as a key defensive player, tasked with marshalling his side's backline through a demanding campaign.
Upamecano has established himself as a regular in the squad, featuring consistently across the season's fixtures. His role centres on defensive solidity rather than attacking contribution, which aligns with his position and the demands placed on modern centre-backs at the highest level.
At 9 appearances, he has been available for selection throughout the season, suggesting he has maintained fitness and form sufficient to warrant regular inclusion. His lack of goals and assists reflects the typical output expected of a defender, where primary responsibility lies in preventing opposition chances rather than creating them.
The Frenchman continues to be relied upon as part of the defensive infrastructure, with his appearances indicating the coaching staff's confidence in his ability to handle the fixture list and competition for places.
