Dasun Shanaka is a Sri Lankan allrounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast-medium. He has accumulated 5456 runs across his ODI career.
Shanaka operates as a middle-order batsman capable of accelerating the innings when required. His bowling provides Sri Lanka with a seam option in the middle overs, where he has developed into a reliable operator. The combination of batting depth and bowling utility has made him a fixture in Sri Lanka's one-day setup.
His role in the team typically sees him batting in the middle order while contributing with the ball across varying match situations. Shanaka's ability to impact matches with both bat and ball has kept him in contention for selection across Sri Lanka's limited-overs formats.
