Torres breaks Argentina's resistance in extra time

Ferrán Torres settled the World Cup final in the 106th minute when he converted a Nico Williams assist to give Spain a 1-0 victory over Argentina at MetLife Stadium.

The goal came in the first half of extra time, breaking a deadlock that had persisted through 90 minutes of open play. Williams provided the decisive pass, and Torres finished to send Spain ahead in a match that had remained goalless until that point.
